Mission Statement:The committee will be responsible for overseeing and/or providing support for the following programs in accordance with the Christian Education Committee Vision, and in support of the Union UCC Mission Statement.
Cradle Roll, Little Lambs Nursery, Children’s Church, Sunday School, Confirmation, Education Hour, Summer Video Series, Youth Group, 3-4-5 Club, Breakfast Club, Preschool, Pre-communion, Pre-Baptism, Pre-marriage, New Member and Inquirer Class, Vacation Bible School, Adult Bible Study: Tuesday evening & Friday Morning, Special Forums, Seminars and events-as required to meet congregation needs.
Vision Statement: Provide a variety of educational programs for all ages, to promote continuous spiritual growth that enables people to relate and integrate Christian faith in a secular world.
What the committee does:
- Meets regularly to oversee Christian Education programs, events, and activities.
- Revises and enforces Safe Child Policy
- Works with Fellowship Committee to offer Advent and Lent Celebrations
- Hoagie Sale Fundraiser– to raise money for Bibles which are presented to children who are baptized and for children who participate regularly in Sunday and Children’s Church.
