The Consistory Committee is the executive body of the Church. The Consistory at Union U.C.C. is composed of the Pastors and 21 members of the church elected by the congregation. The Consistory conducts all business entrusted to it by the congregation, such as making provisions for the determining and raising of the expense budget for the congregation, as well as for the apportionment of the Church, and other benevolent projects, distribution of alms, the auditing of financial accounts, and the adequate support of the staff workers. It keeps a complete and accurate record of its proceedings, the custodian of all congregation records, and reports to the congregation at its regular and special meetings. It submits any and all records to the Association/Conference, of which this congregation is a part, as occasion may require.

What Consistory does:
The goals of the Consistory are to assist and support the Pastors in the affairs of the Church. They shall always be aware of setting a good example for others, watch faithfully over the interests of the Congregation, and maintain order in the house of God.

The United Church of Christ seeks to undergird the ministry of its members by nurturing faith, calling forth gifts, and equipping members for Christian Service.
